Card for my grandma

My grandma and grandpa had been married for 50 years this summer and my grandpa asked if I could make a card for my grandma from him. So of course I had to use Mummu from Mo Mannings Older and Wisher collection. They are really nice. I have used the Maja Design Vintage Spring collection, with the grey and light lilac papers. All the flowers are from Wild Orchids Craft.
Inside I have used one of my favorite stamps that I picked up in New York this summer (a little shop in downtown Manhatten). It´s one of the few stamps that I have that´s mounted. It´s a frame with flowers around and I stamp the text from Stempelglede inside. The text says: "Flowers from you". I colored the stamp in the same colors as Mummu and cut it out. It´s mounted in 3D-foam. On the inside and the outside I have used dies from Life Style Craft and it´s the rectangle. My cardboard is Vanilla and the little piece of ribbon on the front page is from a small shop in Riga.

Blue Card for my great aunt ♡

I made a new card! Last weekend I finally got to visit the greatest scrapping soulmate in the world, Elin! I was so excited, had actually packed with me everything I owned and was so ready to scrap, eat and chat all the weekend. I managed to finish two things and this is the first of the two. This card I made for my moms aunt who had a stroke two months ago. The card is in the mail and hopefully she will have it soon.
On this card and I have used a stamp from Stamping Bella (Mo Manning in digi). All the papers are from the Vintage Spring Collection from Maja Design. I made a tag with the tag-die from Tim Holtz and my lovely Elin made a nice bow for me with seam binding. I used a little brad from Panduro and glued it on to the ribbon. The little heart is a dies from Spellbinders and I just added glossy accent and glitter on top of it. The stamp standing vertical is from Kort og Godt.  I also used paper-piercing on this stamp. That something I´ve never done before. But I could´nt find the right Copic combo that matched my papers so I when for the piercing! :-) Hope you like it :-)

Super fast coloring tutorial: "Distress Reinkers"

I have been teaching coloring wit distress reinkers as medium for over 2 years now. It´s funny how many tonal contrast you can find in each little reinker bottle. For my last class I made this tutorial for the students, so I figured that I might as well put it out here too. This is just the way/order that I do it in. That does not mean it´s the right way or the only way, it´s just the way I like to color. I have used 5 colors on this image:
  • Pumic Stone
  • Weathered Wood
  • Walnut Stain
  • Tattered Rose
  • Antique Linen
The tutorial are just put together by images and you can try to see how I have done it. If you have any questions you can just leave a comment on this blogpost or you can e-mail me: henrikke_blindheim@yahoo.no. Happy coloring!
